RMB and Foreign Currency Demand Deposit Integrated Account Passbook

Overview

The RMB and Foreign Currency Demand Deposit Integrated Account Passbook (hereinafter "integrated demand passbook") is a passbook that integrates all RMB and foreign currency demand deposit accounts of a customer to provide convenience in management and use of these accounts. The integrated demand passbook is a tool that provides central management of RMB and foreign currency demand deposit accounts. Essentially, it is a demand deposit and provides the same functions as a demand deposit.

Benefits

It is convenient for the customer to manage and use all his/her RMB and foreign currency demand deposit accounts. Essentially, it is a demand deposit, featuring multiple accounts in one passbook, free deposit or withdrawal, self-service inquiry, payment and collection agency service and payroll service.

Procedures

1. Open an account

The customer opens an account using his/her valid identity certificate. To open an account, the customer needs to properly fill out the deposit form, deposit an acceptable amount and specify the mode of withdrawal. The teller then issues the certificate of deposit if no errors are found.

2. Renew the deposit and withdraw

The customer renews the deposits and withdraws money with the integrated demand passbook in the specified mode. Each transaction is printed or recorded on the passbook. 

3. Close the account

The customer may close the account at the outlet if he/she no longer needs the integrated demand passbook.

1. What services are available from the integrated demand passbook?

After opening an integrated demand passbook using valid identity certificate, you will have access to foreign currency demand deposit services.

2. How is an integrated demand passbook blocked?

What may become blocked are all accounts in the integrated demand passbook, or a single account in the integrated demand passbook.

Tips

1. Customers should properly keep their deposit certificates, passwords and valid identity certificates. Deposit certificates and identity certificates should be kept separately.

2. Reporting lost deposit certificates or passwords needs to be handled by the customer, in person, at the outlet.
