Agricultural Bank of China Tokyo Representative Office (Herein after referred to as ABC Tokyo Rep-Office) was established on 28th March 1994. In accordance with the rules of local regulatory authorities and the ABC Head Office, the rep-office performs such functions as maintaining relationships with Japanese regulatory authorities and correspondent banks, providing extended services to Chinese and Japanese enterprises, and conducting market reviews.

ABC is going to upgrade its Tokyo Rep-Office into a branch based on its development strategy. The future ABC Tokyo Branch will leverage on ABC's extensive network coverage and rich client resources to strengthen its cross-border collaborations. It will effectively strengthen partnerships with large corporate clients that have trade transactions with Japanese enterprises, and vigorously enhance its cooperation with Japanese corporate clients. The future branch will continue to innovate its financial products and services to provide comprehensive, premier and efficient financial solutions to its clients. All these efforts can help improve the bilateral economic and financial cooperation between China and Japan, and facilitate the joint development of the two countries.
